These are not skateboards, Segways, bicycles or unicycles. Scooters come in all shapes and sizes. Back in the late 90s Razor has launched a huge craze with their standing kick scooters, but whether you're standing or sitting, a scooter is unmistakably a scooter. Thanks to advances in battery technology and the growing popularity of personal electric transportation in general, there has been some renaissance. In a world where you can find cool but expensive toys like the new mini-Segways and electric unicycles, it's refreshing to have something as simple and fun as an electric scooter. Before you start looking at the scooters that are worth spending your money, I just want to remind you that many scooters have a very low weight limit because they are meant for kids. I decided to list the scooters here that have a weight limit that can support an average adult - in other words 150 pounds or more. If you are lighter, there is no reason not to see some models intended for child
